Průběh náboženské konverze a její vliv na život

Abstract

Tématem této diplomové práce je náboženská konverze z pohledu přímých účastníků tohoto procesu - konvertitů. Mezi hlavní okruhy zájmu patří především jejich vztah k víře a jeho vývoj související se změnami, které vnesl do života respondentů a to zejména na základě jejich každodenní zkušenosti a vlastních pocitů a prožitků. Diplomová práce je zpracováním kvalitativního výzkumu, který je založený na hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorech vedených s mladými konvertity, kteří se rozhodli pro přestup k římskokatolické víře v nejmenovaném pražském kostele. Vlastní výsledky výzkumu nemají být zobecnitelné na celou populaci - práce si klade za cíl odhalit hlubší skutečnosti a souvislosti, které by mohly být uplatnitelné v dalších budoucích výzkumech.

The thesis compiles and comments upon the results of a qualitative research focused on the process of religious conversion. The research is based on a series of semi-structured interviews conducted with young converts who decided to join the Roman Catholic church; the subjects are members of the congregation of one (anonymous) church in Prague. Main focus topics included their approach to religion/faith and its evolution in connection with the changes the respondents experience in their everyday lives, their authentic feelings and experiences. The results of the survey are not aimed to be easily generalised and applied to the general population - instead, the work aims to reveal deeper connections and relations which could be employed in future research.
