Fenomén kulturního šoku v internetových komunitách

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with questions of the culture shock in the internet environment. The aim of the work is to speci fy the problems of the on-l ine culture shock and to create the general view on it. In the fi rst part of my thesis the cyberspace, culture shock and communi ty in the on-line envi ronment are defined. The possibilities and particulari ties of the cyberspace functioning are described from di fferent points of views. The cul ture shock and its form in the on-l ine environment are characterized from anthropological and psychological aspects. At the end of the first part of my thesis the behavior of participants in the on-line communities is described and explained. The second part of my thesis is dedicated to impacts of the culture shock on the internet envi ronment . The standard participant of the Czech internet was defined and therefore certain phenomena were possible to generalize. Possibilities for of the culture shock valuation by di fferent measurements were presented and general standards for its identi fication in the on-line environment were determined. The cont ribution of my thesis is the synthesis of di fferent points of view on the so far unmapped culture shock phenomenon in the internet envi ronment.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kulturního šoku v prostředí internetu. Jejím cí lem je vymezit problematiku on-line kulturního šoku a vytvoři t na ni obecný ucelený pohled. V první části se zabývám definicemi kyberprostoru, kulturního šoku a komunitou v on-line prostředí. Z různých pohledů a východisek jsem popsal fungování kyberprostoru, jeho speci fika a možnosti. Ant ropologicky a psychologicky jsem charakterizoval kulturní šok a jeho podobu v on-line prostředí . Na konci první část i jsem popsal a vysvětlil chování návštěvníků v internetových komunitách. Druhá část práce je věnována dopadům kul turního šoku na prost ředí internetu. Díky vytvoření průměrného uživatele českého internetu jsem získal možnost zobecnit některé dí lčí fenomény. Zabýval jsem se možnostmi zjištění kulturního šoku pomocí měřících technik a dosáhnout tak obecně platných norem pro určení kulturního šoku v on-l ine prostředí. Autorským přínosem této práce je spojení pohledů různých úhlů na dosud nepopsaný fenomén kulturního šoku v prostředí sítě internet.
