Mecenáši Daniela Adama z Veleslavína

Abstract

Ve své práci jsem se zaměřila na osoby, jimž jsou dedikovány knihy, ke kterým osobně napsal předmluvu majitel jedné z největších a nejproduktivnějších tiskáren v Čechách v druhé polovině 16. století - Daniel Adam z Veleslavína. Pokusila jsem se vysledovat jejich životní osudy, politické kariéry, soukromé zájmy, náboženské přesvědčení i jiné okolnosti, které mohly být důvodem pro dedikování knihy. V neposlední řadě jsem se zajímala také o to, zda měla daná osoba ke knize či k samotnému tiskaři nějaký osobní vztah, jestli se pohybovali v podobném společenském ovzduší. Osudy jednotlivých dedikací jsem zasadila do celkového společenského a kulturního rámce doby, se zvláštním zaměřením na kulturu knižní.

In my study I focus on the persons who are the recipients of the book-dedications which were written by Daniel Adam from Veleslavín. This printer and writer owned one of the most significant and productive book-printer in the 16th Century Bohemia. I had tried to research the life stories of this persons, political careers, privat interests, religion and other factors which could be the reasons for this book-dedications. Not at last I was interested whether this persons had any personal relationship with the printer or whether they lived in the same social environment. The stories of book-dedications are accompanied by the picture of contemporary social and cultural lifestyle with the special focus on the book culture.
