Město jako obraz. Kutná Hora

Abstract

Blanka Altová: Abstrakt disertační práce, FHS UK Praha. Katedra obecné antropologie Město jako obraz. Kutná Hora. Vidět a interpretovat historické město jako obraz je jede ze způsobů, jak se z pozice přítomnosti vztahovat k minulosti a odhalovat vztah existenčního i existenciálního významu města. Zároveň užitím pojmu obraz chci zřetelně vyjádřit, že vycházím z materiálního (nikoli společenského) obrazu města. Materiální obraz, tedy architekturu a prostorovou organizaci města vnímám jako prameny in situ a v souladu s historikem umění Pierrem Francastelem jako výsledek a součást figurativního systému vyjadřování (myšlení obrazem), který se ustavoval a vyvíjel souběžně se systémem intelektuálním. Z hlediska přítomnosti je možné do minulosti města nahlížet s pomocí různých konceptů. Já jsem zvolila koncept kolektivní paměti (Maurice Halbwachs, Pierre Nora), protože mne zajímá nejen to, co bylo, ale také to, co nebylo a mělo nebo mohlo být. Užívám ikonografické analýzy a ikonologické metody dějin umění k obsahovému výkladu symbolických významů architektury, urbanismu a městské tématiky (v malbě, kresbě, v reliéfu),. Volím je proto, že mne zajímají především náměty, jejich vztah k realitě a dlouhé trvání v paměti. Tyto metody považuji za vhodné právě k výkladu kulturní a historické paměti (Jan Assmann). To view and interpret a historical city as an image is a way of finding relationship to past from the position of presence and uncovering the ties of the physical and existential understanding of the city. At the same time using the concept of the image I want to clearly express that i talk about the physical (not social) image of the city. Physical image, namely architecture and spatial organization of cities I perceive as sources in situ and, in accordance with the art historian Pierre Francastel, as a result and part of system of figurative expression (thinking through image), which was established and developed parallel with the intellectual system. From the viewpoint of the presence the past of the city can be seen through prism of different concepts. I choose the concept of collective memory (Maurice Halbwachs, Pierre Nora), because I'm interested in not only what really happened but also what did not and should have or could have happened. I use the iconographic analysis and iconological methods of art history for content-interpretation of the symbolic meanings of architecture, urban planning and urban themes (in painting, drawing, in relief).
