Ženy v ozbrojených složkách - postavení ženy u Policie ČR

Abstract

This diploma thesis introduces a gender analysis of a present standing of women in the Police of the Czech Republic as seen by policewomen - students of the Police Academies themselves. The thesis investigates whether, in the policewomen's view, there are unrecognized and institutionally built-in gender stereotypes which determine women's and men's positions and acts; whether there exists equal treatment of women and men and equal opportunities of women and men (for example in terms of remuneration, decision-making, career growth, access to further education, etc.) in the context of the Czech Police. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on a gender analysis of Police materials covering the historical development of women's positions in the armed forces of the Czech Republic, legal aspects of service in such forces as well as a review of reports and priorities pertaining to equal opportunities issued by the Czech Ministry of the Interior. 6 Within the quantitative research, a questionnaire survey addressing 60 policewomen studying at Secondary Police School of the Ministry of the Interior and at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague was conducted from April 2008 to May 2008. Tématem mé diplomové práce je genderová analýza současného postavení žen u Policie České republiky, tak jak jej vnímají samotné ženy policistky - studentky policejních škol. Ptám se, zda z pohledu žen - policistek fungují u Policie České republiky zabudované a neuvědomělé genderové stereotypy, které ženy a muže předurčují do určitých pozic a k určitým úkonům, zdali dochází v rámci služebního poměru (rozhodování, odměňování, profesní postup, přístup ke vzdělání, atd.) k uplatňování rovného zacházení a principu rovnosti příležitostí pro muže a ženy. V teoretické části práce jsem se zaměřila na genderové zpracování policejních odborných pramenů, od historického vývoje postavení žen v ozbrojených složkách ČR, přes právní úpravy služebního poměru až po posouzení zpráv a priorit Ministerstva vnitra ČR při prosazování rovnosti mužů a žen z pohledu genderu. V rámci kvantitativního předvýzkumu jsem provedla v průběhu měsíce dubna a května 2008 dotazníkové šetření se 60 ženami policistkami studujícími na Střední policejní škole MV v Praze a na Policejní akademii České republiky v Praze. Pro analytické zpracování dotazníkového šetření byla zvolena genderová analýza, která byla uplatňována ve všech fázích předvýzkumu - při plánování, realizaci a vyhodnocování.
