Resumé Název DP: Vývoj metod sociální práce s dětmi a rodinou u nás od konce 30. let 20. století do současnosti Jméno: Lucie Smejkalová Jak se u nás vyvíjela sociální práce s dětmi a rodinou a její metody od čistě dobrovolných snah založených na touze pomáhat dětem do dnešní podoby organizované sociální práce s dětmi a rodinou v rámci sociálně-právní ochrany dětí? Počátky organizované sociální práce s dětmi a rodinou jsou spojeny s okresními komisemi pro péči o mládež, které vznikaly na území Rakouska-Uherska od roku 1904 a vedle rozdílení příspěvků ze sirotčího fondu, se staraly o zajištění šatstva, obuvi a stravy potřebným dětem. Okresní komise pro péči o mládež, později přejmenované na okresní péče o mládež (OPM), se během svého více než třicetiletého působení postupně staly platnými orgány i v poskytování zákonných opatření (zejména poručenství). V období první republiky patřilo do oblasti sociální práce s dětmi a rodinou, která byla souhrnně nazvána péče o mládež, poskytování péče, ochrany i pomoci těhotným ženám a svobodným matkám, dětem osiřelým, opuštěným, z rozvedených rodin, dětem v cizí péči (pěstounské i ústavní), mládeži mravně ohrožené a dorostu zejména formou poradenství při výběru povolání. The origins of organised social work with children and the family are linked to district youth welfare commissions, which began emerging in the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1904. Besides distributing contributions from an orphan's fund, these bodies looked after arranging clothing, footwear and food for needy children.
