Transition to democracy|Estonia|Czech Republic|Postcommunism|Consolidation of DemocracyČesky: Bakalářská práce se zabývá komparativní analýzou procesu hospodářské a politické transformace v 90. letech, na konkrétním příkladu Estonské a České republiky. Cílem je vyhodnotit úspěšnost přechodu k demokracii těchto dvou států a porovnání procesy, kterými dosáhly nového uspořádání. Práce bude vycházet z historických pramenů týkajících se tématu, bude porovnán přístup k proměně politiky a privatizace v obou státech. Zkoumané časové obdobím zahrnuje roky 1991 - 2004, kdy tyto státy postupně nabyly svou nezávislost na Sovětském svazu a zahájily cestu do západních struktur Evropy. Klíčovým mezníkem pak bude rok 2004, kdy se obě republiky staly členskými státy EU. Práce vychází z teoretických modelů přechodu k demokracii, zejména pak z teorie sjednaného přechodu (příklad České republiky) a přechodu kolapsem režimu (příklad Estonské republiky). Klíčová slova: Přechod k demokracii, Estonsko, Česká Republika, Postkomunismus, Konsolidace demokracie
Anglicky: This bachelor's thesis examines a comparative analysis of the process of economic and political transformation in the 1990s, using the specific examples of Estonia and the Czech Republic. The aim is to evaluate the success of these two countries' transitions to democracy and to compare the processes through which they achieved their new political systems. The thesis will draw on historical sources related to the topic and will compare the approaches to political reform and privatization in both countries. The period under examination spans 1991-2004, during which these countries gradually gained their independence from the Soviet Union and began their journey toward integration into Western European structures. A key milestone will be the year 2004, when both republics became EU member states. This thesis draws on theoretical models of transition to democracy, particularly the theory of negotiated transition (as exemplified by the Czech Republic) and transition through regime collapse (as exemplified by the Republic of Estonia). Keywords: Transition to democracy, Estonia, Czech Republic, Postcommunism, Consolidation of Democracy
