První část práce představuje teoretické ukotvení problematiky a mechanismy šíření normy nulové tolerance k násilí. Závěrečná analytická část následně porovnává zjištěná data v mezinárodním i časovém srovnání. This bachelor's thesis examines a comparative analysis of citizens' attitudes toward violence against women in the Czech Republic and Sweden. The aim of the thesis is to map and analyze differences in these attitudes and to test hypotheses formulated on the basis of feminist theory, the theory of innovation diffusion, the theory of the welfare state, and gender regimes. The hypotheses are tested using data from Eurobarometer surveys conducted in 2016 and 2024. The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical framework of the issue and the mechanisms for spreading the norm of zero tolerance for violence. The concluding analytical section then compares the findings in both an international and a temporal comparison. The results confirm that attitudes in Sweden, which is representing a social-democratic gender regime, are significantly less tolerant of violence and victim blaming than in the more conservative Czech Republic. An analysis of trends in the Czech Republic between 2016 and 2024 revealed a positive shift, with tolerance toward domestic violence gradually declining and the issue ceasing to be perceived solely as a private matter. The study thus demonstrates that although the adoption of a zero-tolerance policy at the Czech Republic's state level has not been entirely successful, an...
