Peter of Aspelt|Chronicon Aulae regiae|archbishop|Mainz|Luxembourg dynasty|Basel|emperorTato bakalářská práce se zabývá obrazem Petra z Aspeltu ve Zbraslavské kronice. Cílem práce je analyzovat styl, jakým kronika tuto osobnost interpretuje a jaké role mu připisuje v rámci politických, diplomatických a církevních událostí přelomu 13. a 14. století. Práce vychází z analytického přístupu k prameni a sleduje jednotlivé zmínky o Petrovi z Aspeltu v narativu kroniky.
This bachelor's thesis examines the image of Peter of Aspelt in the Chronicon Aulae Regiae. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the manner in which the chronicle interprets this figure and the roles it attributes to him within political, diplomatic, and ecclesiastical events of the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. The thesis adopts an analytical apporach to the source, tracing individual references to Peter of Aspelt throughout the chronicle's narrative. It further examines how his image has been established in modern historiography, primarly in Czech and German. The research shows that the Chronicon Aulae Regiae portrays Peter of Aspelt in a markedly idealized manner, as a significant diplomat, political actor, and ecclesiastical dignitary. Czech historiography, by contrast, takes a more sober approach to this figure, whereas German historiography retains a distinctly positive interpretation of his activities.
