Komentovaný překlad vybraných povídkek Raye Bradburyho ze sbírky Summer Morning, Summer Night s úvodní studií o autorovi, jeho stylu a překladatelských problémech

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí. První část představuje komentovaný český překlad vybraných povídek amerického spisovatele Raye Bradburyho ze sbírky Summer Morning, Summer Night. Druhou část tvoří překladatelský komentář, který obsahuje analýzu výchozího textu, charakteristiku zvolené překladatelské metody a rozbor hlavních překladatelských problémů na syntaktické, lexikální a kulturní rovině. Součástí komentáře je rovněž představení autora a jeho tvorby se zaměřením na charakteristické rysy Bradburyho literárního stylu.

This master's thesis consists of two main parts. The first part presents an annotated Czech translation of selected short stories by the American writer Ray Bradbury from the collection Summer Morning, Summer Night. The second part comprises a translation commentary, including an analysis of the source text, a description of the translation method adopted, and a discussion of the main translation problems on the syntactic, lexical, and cultural levels. The commentary also includes an introduction to the author and his work, with particular attention paid to the characteristic features of Bradbury's literary style.
