Populism|Donald Trump|performance|president of the USA|transgressionPráce se zabývá primárně analýzou chování Donalda Trumpa skrze teorii synekdochální reprezentace od M. E. Casullo.
The bachelor's work is primarly concearned with an analysis of Donald Trump's behaviour and manners through a theory of synekdochal representation by M. E. Casullo. The work introduces this theory, afterwards it summarises existing research concering the topic and then applies the synekdochal representation theory on them. The goal of this work is to introduce a convincing argument, that Donald Trump's behaviour and bodily performance in his first campain for the Presidency of the United states of America shows signs of above said synecdochal representation. To reach this goal, the work uses analyses of his different utterences, gestures, his sartorial style and self-presentation and of other aspects of his performance, which are not as easily categorised. The work operates with an assumption, that the loyalty of voters is connected to the populist performance, which through synekdochal representation does more that just represent voters - it directly embodies them and thus relates to their identity. The work supports this assumption further by using a model of discourse from D. Schriffin, which concerns itself (next to other things) with the identities and roles in the discourse, especially via the fifth plane of the model, the participation framework.
