Planeta Venuše v náboženství starověkého Egypta

Abstract

Záměrem této diplomové práce je postihnout postavení planety Venuše v náboženství starověkého Egypta. Práce se zaměřuje na mytologické souvislosti, především na možnosti ztotožnění planety s božstvy či božskými entitami s ohledem na astronomické projevy planety a její následné místo v panteonu starověkého Egypta. Dále zkoumá zmínky zachycující Venuši jakožto jitřenku v staroegyptských zádušních textech a její spojení se zesnulým panovníkem.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the position of the planet Venus in the religion of ancient Egypt. The thesis is focused on the mythological context, especially the possibility of identifying of the planet with deities or divine entities with regard to astronomical speeches of the planet and its place in the pantheon of ancient Egypt. Furthermore, it examines records showing Venus as a Morning star in Egyptian mortuary texts and its connection to the deceased king.
