Pokud jde o formu kurzů, většina respondentů by preferovala,...
This bachelor's thesis deals with adaptation and integration courses in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the foreigners who have attended them. These courses represent an integration measure whose aim is to improve the integration of foreigners by increasing their orientation in a new environment and enhancing their awareness of Czech society and its functioning. The aim of this thesis is to provide a detailed description of foreigners' own views on adaptation and integration courses, specifically to determine how foreigners evaluate the content, form, and benefits of these courses overall. The thesis is based on a qualitative research approach and is situated within the theoretical framework of civic integration. The empirical part is based on 11 semi-structured interviews with foreigners who attended the course and on an expert interview. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis of the interviews, through which the main themes in the respondents' answers were identified. The research findings indicate that respondents evaluate the courses predominantly positively, viewing them as a useful general overview of information important for living in the Czech Republic, however, according to them, the courses serve primarily a basic informational function rather than an adaptive one.
