V kontextu rostoucích environmentálních a sociálních dopadů rychlé módy (fast fashion) a všudypřítomného greenwashingu práce zkoumá, jak tyto generace chápou koncept udržitelnosti.
This bachelor thesis deals with the awareness, perception, and approach toward sustainable fashion among younger consumers, specifically representatives of Generation Z and Generation Alpha, in the Czech context. In the context of the growing environmental and social impacts of fast fashion and omnipresent greenwashing, the thesis examines how these generations understand the concept of sustainability. The main objective is to compare their level of knowledge, map the sources from which they gather information, and identify the motivators and barriers influencing their actual purchasing behavior. The research was conducted using a qualitative method through semi-structured in-depth interviews with a total of 12 respondents. The collected data revealed a profound knowledge gap between the studied groups. While Generation Z exhibits a high level of comprehensive knowledge and a critical attitude toward large retail chains, its environmental convictions often encounter financial limits, leading to the creation of an attitude-behavior gap and a strong orientation toward the secondary market. In contrast, Generation Alpha possesses only a superficial awareness of the issue, and its purchasing behavior is primarily driven by visual trends on social media. The research confirmed the inadequacy of formal...
