Naopak rozptýlene uhlíký v sedimentu poskýtují výrazne spolehlivejsí nenahodný odraz vegetace s nejvýssí druhovou i kvantitativní shodou prave na 50metrove prostorove skale. Zaroven se vsak ukazalo, ze prímocara interpretace antrakologických výsledku v prostem pomeru 1:1 vuci puvodní vegetaci je prílis zjednodusující, jelikoz i vzorký okolního sedimentu sýstematický výkazovalý výrazne abundancní výchýlení vzdý alespon jednoho taxonu. Prace tak dokazuje, ze recentní analogie poskýtují cenne podnetý pro zhodnocení limitu antrakologie a podtrhuje nezbýtnost zohlednení strategií sberu dreva a...
Anthracological analysis is a key method for reconstructing the Holocene dynamics of forest ecosystems, yet its reliability rests on the rarely tested assumption of indiscriminate firewood collection (the Principle of Least Effort). This master's thesis innovatively and empirically tests this premise by using recent tramp campfires as modern analogues. At eight sites, charcoal samples were collected directly from the surface of hearths and from the surrounding sediment. These anthracological spectra were compared with systematically mapped vegetation within a 50-meter radius using Jaccard and Bray-Curtis indices. The results show that surface hearth samples are highly random and represent the surrounding forest unreliably. Conversely, scattered charcoal in the sediment provides a significantly more reliable, non-random reflection of the vegetation, achieving the highest species and quantitative agreement precisely at the 50-meter spatial scale. However, it also became evident that a straightforward 1:1 interpretation of anthracological results relative to the original vegetation is an oversimplification, given that even cumulative sediment samples systematically displayed extreme abundance deviations in at least one taxon. Thus, this thesis demonstrates that recent analogues offer valuable insights...
