On the following pages, we will focus on an algorithm for solving systems of con- gruences in LOG space, introduced by Hesse, Allender, and Barrington in 2002. After a theoretical introduction focused primarily on modular arithmetic and number theory, we implement it in the Python programming language and determine the asymptotic complexity of the overall method as well as of its individual functions. On the way to this goal, we explicitly estimate parameters that do not appear in the original work and prove statements whose derivations were omitted. For context, we also mention the most well-known alternative methods for solving systems of congruences.
