The cult of the Goddess is known from the beginning of human race and it continues in nowadays. It involves the Paleolithic Venuses, goddesses from ancient pantheons, who were transformed in a cult of Mary in Hellenistic syncretism. I emphasize an indubitable continuity of this development, which is evident in syncretic religions in Hellenistic period, including Christianity. This cult is connected with a deep symbolism of a birth giving, life, death and rebirth. It contains psychological aspect, where the goddesses are thought as projections of archetypes of mother and Anima and also the sociological aspects of women status in these cultures and societies and forming of gender of femininity.
