"Moje tělo, naše zkušenost": Sdílené významy těhotenství, těla a intimity.

Abstract

This diploma thesis explores how the first pregnancy in a heterosexual couple's life transforms their perceptions of embodiment, sexuality, and partnership intimacy. The aim of the study is to uncover the subjective meanings that the actors themselves attribute tothese changes against the backdrop of medical surveillance and cultural expectations.The theoretical part establishes pregnancy as a culturallyconstructedexperience and,through the concepts of embodiment and gender performativity, examines the tension between internal experience and external norms. Methodologically,the work is based on Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and is designed as an in-depth case study of three couples (six communicationpartners), with whom separate semi-structured interviews were conducted. The analytical section reveals how technology (especiallyultrasound) constructs the realityof pregnancy and how medicalization influences the sense of responsibility. The research highlights a profound discrepancy in the perceptionof the female bodily transformation,where women experience a loss of control and shame, while men tend to normalize these changes. Tato diplomová práce se nabízí porozumění tomu, jak první těhotenství v životě heterosexuálního páru transformuje dosavadní vnímání tělesnosti, sexuality a partnerské intimity.Cílem práce je rozkrýt subjektivní významy,které těmtozměnám přisuzujísami aktéři na pozadí medicínského dohledu a kulturních očekávání. Teoretická část ukotvuje těhotenství jako kulturně utvářenou zkušenost a skrze koncepty ztělesnění (embodiment) a genderové performativity sleduje napětí mezi vnitřním prožíváním a vnějšími normami. Metodologicky práce vychází z interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy (IPA) a je zpracována formou hloubkové případové studie tří párů (šesti komunikačních partnerů), se kterými byly vedeny oddělené polostrukturované rozhovory. Analytická část odkrývá, jak technologie (zejména ultrazvuk) konstruují realitu těhotenství a jak medikalizace ovlivňuje pocit zodpovědnosti. Výzkum ukazuje na hluboký rozpor ve vnímání ženské tělesné proměny, kdy ženy prožívají ztrátu kontroly a stud, zatímco muži tyto změny normalizují. Práce dále mapuje transformaci sexuality směrem k rituálům péče a nesexuálnímu doteku, přičemž těhotenské břicho definuje jako "třetího aktéra" v intimitě. Závěry poukazují na genderové asymetrie v prožívání času a na přetrvávající neviditelnost otců v systému prenatální péče.
