Poetika autority: analýza textových strategií synoptických evangelií

Poetics of Authority: An Analysis of Textual Strategies in the Synoptic Gospels ThDr. Magdalena Vytlačilová This dissertation examined the textual strategies through which the authors of the Synoptic Gospels claimed authority and constructed the credibility of their works. Against the prevailing view that understands textual authority as a result of later reception or canonization, the study argued that authority is actively constructed at the moment of composition through the choice of genre and specific literary techniques. These techniques were understood as purposeful social action aimed at the future acceptance of the text. A two-step comparative method was developed for the analysis of authority-building strategies. In the first step, drawing on the rhetorical genre theory of Carolyn R. Miller, the Gospels were identified as ancient biographies whose primary social function was to present an individual as a normative model for imitation. The study demonstrated that the Gospels share key formal and thematic features with ancient biographies while also differing from them in certain respects- particularly in the absence of prologues with explicit methodological statements. Předkládaná práce argumentuje, že pro pochopení autority synoptických evangelií je nutné přesunout pozornost od jejich pozdější recepce k analýze textových strategií použitých při jejich vzniku. Proti převládajícímu recepčnímu pojetí, které chápe autoritu textu jako status získaný až v důsledku jeho přijetí komunitou, navrhuji chápat autoritu jako aktivně konstruovaný efekt, o nějž autoři usilují prostřednictvím promyšlené volby žánru a specifických literárních strategií. Práce navrhuje dvoustupňovou komparativní metodu. Prvním krokem je identifikace evangelií jako antických životopisů - žánru, jehož primární funkcí bylo představit jedince jako normativní model k imitaci. Druhým krokem je analýza textových strategií prostřednictvím navržené typologie tří autorských postojů: badatel (buduje věrohodnost odkazem na prameny), osobnost (opírá se o mimotextový sociální kapitál) a prostředník (prezentuje se jako zprostředkovatel vyššího zdroje autority). Aplikací tohoto rámce práce ukazuje, že Marek vystupuje jako "osobnost" opírající se o mimotextový sociální kapitál - jeho autorita je předpokládána a priori na základě blízkosti k apoštolskému zdroji.
