Šárka Strubinská Title: Education of Caregivers of Individuals with Acquired Brain Injury Abstract This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of education of caregivers of individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). The theoretical part focuses on acquired brain injury and its impact on patients' independence and participation in activities of daily living (ADL). It also introduces and further specifies the caregiver, including their role, needs, and demands. Furthermore, the theoretical section discusses the occupational therapy framework and its application in therapeutic interventions. The main aim of the thesis was to create an educational material for informal caregivers of individuals with acquired brain injury. A partial aim was to critically evaluate the educational material using the SAM (Suitability Assessment of Materials) method. In the practical part, an educational material was developed containing information about acquired brain injury and its possible consequences (motor, cognitive, psychological, and social). BAKALÁŘSKÉ PRÁCE Jméno, příjmení: Štěpánka Koubová Vedoucí práce: Mgr. Eliška Burdová Konzultant práce: Mgr. Šárka Strubinská Název práce: Edukace pečujících o osoby se získaným poškozením mozku. Abstrakt bakalářské práce: Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou edukace pečujících o osoby se získaným poškozením mozku (ZPM). Teoretická část se věnuje oblasti ZPM a jejich dopady na soběstačnost a participaci pacientů v aktivitách všedního života (ADL). Je představena a blíže specifikována pečující osoba, její role, potřeby a nároky. Dále teorie rozebírá ergoterapeutický rámec terapie a její uplatnění v terapeutických intervencích. Hlavním cílem práce bylo vytvoření edukačního materiálu pro neformální pečující o osoby se ZPM. Dílčím cílem bylo kriticky ohodnotit edukační materiál metodikou SAM (Suitability assessment of materials). V praktické části byl vytvořen edukační materiál, který obsahuje informace o ZPM, možných následcích (motorické, kognitivní, psychické, sociální). Je představena role rehabilitačního týmu a především role ergoterapeuta, jehož jednou z dominantních úloh je doporučení kompenzačních pomůcek, úprava domácího prostředí a nácvik kompenzačních strategií, vedoucí k samostatnému zvládání ADL.
