Abstract

De quinque festivitatibus pueri Jesu and the Theology of Christmas in St. Bonaventure The aim of this thesis is to present the theology of Christmas in the work of Bonaventura of Bagnoregio, and in particular to analyse his De quinque festivitatibus pueri Jesu. The first part of the thesis offers an insight into the biography of the saint with emphasis on his conception of Christology and the role of the event of the Nativity in his personal spirituality. The second part deals with analysis of the writing itself, explaining the circumstances of its composition and naming its theological emphases influenced by Franciscanism, such as the humility of Jesus and the interconnectedness between Christmas and Easter. In the third part, the idea of the birth of Christ or God in the heart of the disciple in the context of the theological tradition. Cílem této práce je představit teologii Vánoc v díle Bonaventury z Bagnoregia a zvláště analyzovat jeho spis De quinque festivitatibus pueri Jesu. První část práce nabízí nahlédnutí do životopisu světce s důrazem na jeho pojetí christologie a na roli události Narození Páně v jeho osobní spiritualitě. Druhá část se zabývá samotnou analýzou spisu, objasňuje okolnosti jeho vzniku a pojmenovává jeho teologické důrazy, ovlivněné františkánstvím, například Ježíšova pokora či vzájemná propojenost mezi Vánocemi a Velikonocemi. Ve třetí části bude rozvedena myšlenka rození Krista, respektive Boha v srdci učedníka v kontextu teologické tradice.
