Hlavním cílem je zmapovat komunikační mechanismy tohoto žánru prostřednictvím analýzy případových studií Národního divadla v Praze, Národního divadla Brno, Divadla J. K. Tyla v Plzni a Divadla F. X. Šaldy v Liberci.
How can ballet be effectively communicated to preserve its exclusivity while remaining accessible to a contemporary audience? This master's thesis examines the specifics of strategic communication within ballet companies in the Czech Republic, focusing on branding and stakeholder relationship management. The primary objective is to identify the communication mechanisms of the genre through a comparative case study analysis of the National Theatre, the National Theatre Brno, the J. K. Tyl Theatre, and the F. X. Šalda Theatre. This qualitative research is based on in-depth interviews with marketing experts and an analysis of both digital and outdoor communication channels. The findings reveal the crucial role of dancers, who do not function merely as passive subjects of promotion but as expert ambassadors ensuring the aesthetic and technical integrity of all visual outputs. Furthermore, the analysis highlights a clear distinction between national stages, which prioritize international prestige, and regional theaters, which cultivate loyal local communities through participatory marketing and the demystification of the genre. The thesis also maps innovative audience engagement trends, ranging from behaviorally targeted loyalty programs to personalized fundraising. The results confirm that while ballet is...
