Abstract

The diploma thesis entitled "Ritual as an Anchor": The Significance of School Rituals for the Social Inclusion of Children" deals with the function and significance of rituals in the environment of a primary school in an excluded locality in Trmice. The aim of the thesis is to understand how school rituals - from everyday routine activities to symbolic or community events - help children to form a sense of order, security and belonging. Rituals are not understood here only as formal mechanisms of school life, but as deeply social and emotional tools that can compensate for the shortcomings of the family or community environment and contribute to the social inclusion of pupils. The thesis is based on qualitative research in the form of a case study.
