Průhlední. Rozhovorová série o skleněných dětech

Abstract

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is glass children, the siblings of individuals with special needs. It presents them through a series of interviews that show the readers the topic from multiple perspectives. The theoretical section of the thesis defines the concept of a glass child, explains the context of its emergence, and describes the family situations and emotional experiences of siblings of children with disabilities. It also focuses on the media's approach to the topic of disability and offers advice on how to cover it sensitively and ethically. The methodological section defines the interview as a genre and describes the creation of the interview series, from contacting the respondents to writing the final text. The practical section consists of seven interviews: two with siblings of children with disabilities, two with parents of glass children, and the remaining three comprise a sociological survey on glass children, the documentary Ta druhá (The Other One), which captures the story of the sister of a girl with an autism spectrum disorder, and an organization that helps glass children. The aim of this work is to introduce readers to this relatively new topic inthe Czech Republic andto show them that it is not only people with disabilities who face obstacles, but also their loved ones.

Tématem této bakalářské práce jsou skleněné děti, sourozenci osob se speciálními potřebami. Představuje ho skrze sérii rozhovorů, která jej čtenářům ukazuje z více úhlů pohledu. Teoretická část práce definuje pojem skleněné dítě, představuje kontext jeho vzniku a popisuje rodinné situace a emoční prožitky sourozenců dětí s postižením. Zaměřuje se taktéž na přístup médií k tématu postižení a nabízí rady, jak jej zpracovat citlivě a eticky. Metodologická část definuje interview jako žánr a popisuje vznik rozhovorové série od kontaktování respondentů po sepsání finálního textu. Praktickou část tvoří sedm rozhovorů: dva se sourozenci dětí s postižením, dva s rodiči skleněných dětí, zbylé tři představují sociologický průzkum o skleněných dětech, dokument Ta druhá, který zachycuje příběh sestry dívky s poruchou autistického spektra, a organizaci pomáhající skleněným dětem. Cílem práce je toto v Česku poměrně nové téma čtenářům přiblížit a ukázat jim, že s překážkami se nepotýkají jen osoby s postižením, ale i jejich blízcí.
