Queer identita a víra: zkušenosti LGBTQ+ věřících v náboženském prostředí

Abstract

The presented bachelor's thesis, "Queer Identity and Faith: Experiences of LGBTQ+ Believers in Religious Contexts," is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The opening section is devoted to terminology and explains the abbreviations and terms used in order to facilitate the reader's orientation in the text. The second part of the theoretical section focuses on history and introduces the reader to the development and status of queer people across different periods and in different places. The final chapter of this section is devoted specifically to the Abrahamic religions. It examines both the historical and contemporary context of this issue and analyses selected Bible verses. The empirical part of the thesis is based on quantitative research focused on the feelings and experiences of members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as on qualitative research in the form of interviews with clergy concerning their experience with LGBTQ+ issues. The main aim of this bachelor's thesis is to explore the feelings and tensions associated with queer identity and faith. The central focus of the thesis lies in the experiences of LGBTQ+ believers, while the interviews with clergy serve as a supplementary interpretive perspective.

Předkládaná bakalářská práce "Queer identita a víra: zkušenosti LGBTQ+ věřících v náboženském prostředí" se dělí na teoretickou a empirickou část. Začátek práce je věnován pojmům a vysvětluje zkratky a názvy tak, aby během čtení práce byla snadnější orientace v textu. Druhá část teoretické části se věnuje historii a přibližuje čtenáři vývoj a postavení queer osob v různých dobách a na různých místech. Poslední kapitola této části se pak věnuje konkrétně abrahámovským náboženstvím. Sleduje historický i novodobý kontext této problematiky a rozebírá jednotlivé verše v Bibli. Empirická část práce je zpracována na základě kvantitativního výzkumu zaměřeného na pocity a zkušenosti členů LGBTQ+ komunity i kvalitativního výzkumu v podobě rozhovorů s duchovními a jejich zkušenostmi s LGBTQ+ problematikou. Cílem této bakalářské práce je především zkoumání pocitů a napětí v oblasti queer identity a víry. Hlavní osu práce tvoří zkušenosti LGBTQ+ věřících osob, zatímco rozhovory s duchovními slouží jako doplňková interpretační perspektiva.
