Praktická část porovnává teoretické poznatky s vlastními zkušenostmi studentky zachycenými formou vzpomínek a terénního deníku.
The bachelor thesis examines the role of an informal caregiver in the family of a child with moderate intellectual disability. The research section is structured as a case study incorporating elements of an autoethnographic approach and focuses on the situation of a student who visits the family of a boy with moderate intellectual disability associated with a rare disease. The aim of the thesis is to describe the student's role as an informal caregiver in this family along with their social capital. The theoretical section addresses the concept of informal care, its basic characteristics, and the recipients of this care, with an emphasis on children with intellectual disabilities and their families. It further describes the child's condition along with the support that arises from it. The practical section compares theoretical knowledge with the student's own experiences, captured in the form of retrospective memories and a field diary.
