Proti dehumanizaci - Jak česká umělecká scéna vyjadřuje podporu Palestině v pro-izraelském prostředí

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis examines pro-Palestinian activism within the Czech art scene in the context of a pro-Israeli environment. The thesis documents the ways in which artists express their solidarity, the public's reactions to their activities, and their experiences with repression. The practical output of the thesis is a series of four interviews with representatives of the Czech art scene who have actively expressed solidarity with Palestine since October 7, 2023. The interviews are compiled in the form of a zine and provide insight into their activism. The theoretical section contextualizes their activities. The first chapter briefly describes the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, from the establishment of the State of Israel through the key events in the conflict's history that led to the escalation on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent war. It also addresses the unequal status of Israelis and Palestinians. The next section characterizes the very positive nature of Czech-Israeli relations, their history, and the reactions of Czech political representatives to the events since October 7, 2023.The third chapter describes the concept of moral panic and repression. Tato bakalářská práce mapuje propalestinský aktivismus české umělecké scény v rámci proizraelského prostředí. Práce dokumentuje, jakými způsoby se solidarita umělectva projevuje, reakce veřejnosti na jejich činnost a jejich zkušenosti s represí. Praktickým výstupem práce je série čtyř rozhovorů se zástupci a zástupkyněmi české umělecké scény, kteří po 7. říjnu 2023 aktivně projevují solidaritu s Palestinou. Rozhovory jsou zpracovány ve formě zinu a poskytují náhled do jejich aktivistické činnosti. Teoretická část jejich aktivistickou činnost kontextualizuje. První kapitola stručně popisuje izraelsko-palestinský konflikt od procesu vzniku státu Izrael přes zásadní události historie konfliktu, které vedly k eskalaci 7. října 2023 a následné válce. Zabývá se také nerovným postavením Izraelců a Palestinců. Další část charakterizuje velmi pozitivní povahu česko-izraelských vztahů, jejich historii a reakce české politické reprezentace na události od 7. října 2023. Třetí kapitola popisuje koncept morální paniky a represe. Využívá k tomu práci Donatelly della Porta Morální panika a represe: Zneužívání boje proti antisemitismu v Německu, koncept The West and the Rest a stereotypizaci dle Stuarta Halla.
