Role kulturních rozdílů v etice sociální práce se zaměřením na romskou komunitu

Abstract

This thesis examines the influence of cultural differences on the ethical decision-making of social workers when working with the Romani community. The theoretical section of the thesis is divided into three parts: roles, culture, and the ethics of social work. The first chapter defines the roles and competencies of a social worker. The second chapter focuses on culture, its functions, and the specific characteristics of Romani culture in the context of social exclusion. The final section of the theoretical part is devoted to the ethics of social work and the dilemmas social workers face. The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews. The collected data is analyzed using the open coding method. The research shows that a key challenge is the ethical tension between professional norms and the cultural specificities of clients. The results emphasize the necessity of professional adaptation, self-reflection, and the development of multicultural competencies.

Diplomová práce zkoumá vliv kulturních rozdílů na etické rozhodování sociálních pracovníků při práci s romskou komunitou. Teoretická část práce je rozdělena do tří částí, kterými jsou role, kultura a etika sociální práce. První kapitola definuje role a kompetence sociálního pracovníka. Druhá kapitola je zaměřená na kulturu, její funkce a specifika romské kultury v kontextu sociálního vyloučení. Poslední část teorie je věnována etice sociální práce a dilematům, kterým sociální pracovníci čelí. Empirická část práce vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu provedeného formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Analyzování zjištěných dat je provedeno metodou otevřeného kódování. Z výzkumu je patrné, že klíčovou výzvou je etické napětí mezi profesními normami a kulturními specifiky klientů. Výsledky zdůrazňují nezbytnost profesní adaptace, sebereflexe a rozvoje multikulturních kompetencí.
