Překážky ukrajinských uprchlíků na trhu práce v Praze

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the barriers faced by Ukrainian refugees in the labour market in Prague from their subjective perspective. The study uses the concept of integration and the capability approach theory as its main theoretical frameworks. The aim of the thesis is to understand what barriers refugees face in the labour market, with particular attention to their real capabilities to utilize their work potential within the context of the broader integration process. The empirical part of the thesis involves semi-structured interviews with 9 refugees who arrived in the Czech Republic following the outbreak of the war in 2022. Through thematic analysis, key themes and patterns were identified in relation to labour market barriers, employment strategies, and integration outcomes. The findings suggest that subjectively perceived barriers function as conversion factors that narrow refugees' capability sets and limit their ability to fully use their work potential. The thesis thus contributes to a deeper understanding of the labour market barriers facing Ukrainian refugees in a metropolitan context and highlights the importance of addressing obstacles that limit their real capabilities and opportunities for integration.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překážkami, s nimiž se ukrajinští uprchlíci setkávají na trhu práce v Praze, a to z jejich subjektivní perspektivy. Práce využívá koncept integrace a teorii capability approach jako klíčové teoretické rámce. Cílem práce je porozumět, s jakými překážkami se uprchlíci na trhu práce setkávají, a to s ohledem na jejich skutečné schopnosti uplatnit pracovní potenciál v kontextu širšího integračního procesu. Praktická část práce zahrnuje polostrukturované rozhovory s 9 uprchlíky, kteří přicestovali do České republiky po začátku válečného konfliktu v roce 2022. Na základě tematické analýzy byla vyvozena klíčová témata a vzorce ve vztahu k bariérám na trhu práce, pracovním strategiím a výsledkům pracovního uplatnění uprchlíků. Výzkum ukazuje, že subjektivně vnímané překážky fungují jako konverzní faktory, které zužují soubor reálných možností uprchlíků a omezují jejich schopnosti plně využít svůj pracovní potenciál. Práce tak přispívá k hlubšímu porozumění pracovním bariérám ukrajinských uprchlíků v metropolitním prostředí a zdůrazňuje význam odstraňování překážek, které omezují jejich skutečné schopnosti a možnosti integrace.
