Alkuin z Yorku: Disputatio de rhetorica et de virtutibus - překlad a analýza

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is a translation of a work Disputatio de rhetorica et virtutibus, written by Alcuin of York, into Czech. The thesis consists of two parts: the first one contains a characterisation of the translated work (its date of origin, genre, sources). This description is followed by a presentation of the work's editions and translations, the latest of them are evaluated as well. The introduction is concluded by selected features of the applied translation's method. The second part comprises the translation itself accompanied by footnotes, which contain an identification of the textual sources, a clarification of some obscure passages and an explanation of historical realia.

Hlavním cílem této práce je překlad díla Alkuina z Yorku Disputatio de rhetorica et virtutibus do češtiny. Práce sestává ze dvou částí - v první je dílo charakterizováno co do doby vzniku, žánru a použitých pramenů. V této části jsou dále představeny dosavadní edice a překlady daného díla a nejnovější z nich také zhodnoceny. V závěru úvodní studie jsou popsány vybrané rysy aplikované překladatelské metody. Část druhou tvoří samotný překlad, doplněný poznámkami pod čarou, v nichž jsou identifikovány textové zdroje, osvětleny méně srozumitelné úseky textu a objasněny dobové odkazy.
