Švarcsystém v českých televizích pohledem novinářů

Abstract

Práce se zabývá tím, jak pracovníci českých televizí Česká televize, Nova a Prima vnímají švarcsystém a práci na něj. V teoretické části se zaměřuje na pracovněprávní výklad švarcsystému a nelegální práce, ale také žurnalistikou jako profesí i ekonomickou kondicí českých médií. Mimo jiné zkoumá rozdíly mezi zaměstnanci a externisty, platy novinářů nebo tržby českých televizí. V praktické části se potom pomocí kvalitativní analýzy rozhovorů s deseti respondenty pokouší zjistit, jakým způsobem vnímají pracovníci na švarcsystém vlastní práci i jakým způsobem jim tento typ nelegální práce ovlivňuje život. Respondenty tvoří zástupci České televize, Novy a Primy, kteří pracují jako reportéři, redaktoři, editoři nebo střihači. Účastníci výzkumu byli vybráni pomocí metody sněhové koule. Analýza rozhovorů ukázala, že má švarcsystém na životy dotazovaných velký vliv na několika úrovních. Pro dotazované často představovaly problém neplacená dovolená, chybějící nemocenská a mateřská dovolená, ale i ztížené možnosti získání hypotéky nebo potíže spojené s budoucími starobními důchody respondentů. Naopak velká část respondentů si cenila flexibility, kterou jim práce na švarcsystém přinášela, a v některých případech i možnosti vedle svojí hlavní práce v médiích také podnikat.

This thesis aims to study the ways workers in Czech televisions, Nova, Czech television and Prima, view svarcsystem and working in it. The theoretical part of the work focuses on the legal framework of svarcsystem and illegal work, but also on journalism as a profession and on the economical state of Czech media. It also defines the differences between employees and outsourced laborers, journalist wages or profits of Czech televisions. The practical chapters of the thesis then utilize qualitative analysis of interviews with ten respondents and aims to uncover the ways in which those working under svarcsystem see their own work as well as how this type of illegal labor affects their lives. The pool of respondents includes reporters, redactors, editors and video editors from Czech television, Nova and Prima. The respondents were chosen by using snowball sampling. The analysis of interviews with them shows that svarcsystem has affected them significantly on multiple levels. The interviewees often saw a problem in having no paid vacation, sick leave or maternity leave. They also reported having a worse chance of getting mortgages and displayed distress regarding their future pension.
