In Maniera Fiamminga. Figurální kabinetní malba v českých zemích

Abstract

Předmětem disertační práce je tradice pojetí lidské postavy flámské provenience ve figurální kabinetní malbě malířů působících na přelomu 16. a 17. století, konkrétně odečtená z tvorby antverpských mistrů Hendricka van Balena a Jana Brueghela staršího. Takové pojetí figury bylo transformováno v malbě umělců 17. a počátku 18. století, kteří importovali své obrazy v duchu in maniera fiamminga do soudobých uměleckých sbírek v českých zemích. Nedílnou součástí práce je také studie o zobrazení figury jako hlavního narativního prvku výtvarného umění vyjadřujícího náboženský a kulturní obsah, jež se pojilo s různými přístupy k její konstrukci, zobrazení a kompozici. Dále si práce klade za cíl shromáždit a kriticky zhodnotit aspekty, které měly vliv na vývoj figurální kabinetní malby a samotné figury v ní. Zhodnotí rovněž, zdali malíři působící v dané době v zemích Koruny české mohli uspokojit poptávku objednavatelů figurální kabinetní malby pro jejich vznikající kabinety a obrazárny a na konkrétních dílech vybraných autorů Johanna Spillenbergera, Johanna Heisse a Jana Rudolfa Byse, která právě z tohoto důvodu obohatila české sbírky, bude demonstrovat předpoklad návaznosti na figurální kabinetní malbu antverpských mistrů přelomu 16. a 17. století a vytyčí jejich společné stylové prvky, ale taktéž kriticky...

The subject of the dissertation is the tradition of the Flemish conception of the human figure in the figurative cabinet painting of the painters active at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, derived in particular from the work of the Antwerp masters Hendrick van Balen and Jan Brueghel the Elder. This conception of the figure was transformed in the paintings of 17th and early 18th century artists, who imported their paintings in the spirit of in maniera fiamminga into contemporary art collections in the Czech lands. An integral part of the work is also a study of the representation of the figure as the main narrative element of art expressing religious and cultural content, which was associated with different approaches to its construction, representation and composition. Furthermore, the thesis aims to collect and critically evaluate the aspects that have influenced the development of figurative cabinet painting and the figure itself within it. It will also assess whether the painters working for the Bohemian Crown at the time were able to satisfy the demand for figural cabinet painting by commissioners for their emerging cabinets and picture galleries, and it will demonstrate the assumption of continuity with the figural cabinet painting of the Antwerp masters at the turn of the 16th century...
