Dopady existence výcvikového prostoru Waffen-SS na Benešovsku

Abstract

The military training area SS-Truppenubüngsplatz Böhmen was located in the area between the Vltava and Sázava rivers near the towns of Benešov and Sedlčany in the years 1942-1945 during the Second World War. The establishment of the training area was also connected with the eviction of the majority of the inhabitants of the area. The goal of the thesis is to discuss the impacts of the functioning of the training area on the region and its landscape in connection with processes of establishment and subsequent closure of the training area and the return of the population to the area. As part of the analysis, the thesis also discusses the meaning and heritage of the training area. Thus following topics are given primary attention: how the landscape was used at the time of training area and the impact of this use on the future development of the area; which historical landscape elements reminiscent of the existence of the training area have been preserved till today; how significant are the past events in the memory of the local landscape and society. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the concept of heritage and its connection with regional identity is introduced. Vojenský výcvikový prostor SS-Truppenubüngsplatz Böhmen (Výcvikový prostor Čechy) se nacházel v oblasti ohraničené řekami Vltavou a Sázavou a v blízkosti měst Benešov a Sedlčany v letech 1942 až 1945 v době probíhající druhé světové války. Prostor sloužil pro výcvik německých nacistických jednotek. Se zřízením výcvikového prostoru souvisí i vystěhování většiny obyvatel z obcí v oblasti. Cílem práce je diskutovat dopady fungování výcvikového prostoru na místní region a krajinu v souvislosti s procesy zřízení a následného zrušení výcvikového prostoru a návratu obyvatel na toto území. Práce diskutuje, jak byla krajina využívána v době výcvikového prostoru a dopad tohoto využití na budoucí vývoj oblasti, identifikuje, které historické krajinné prvky připomínající existenci výcvikového prostoru se zachovaly do dnešní doby a v neposlední řadě se též zamýšlí nad významem uplynulých událostí v paměti krajiny a společnosti. V teoretické části práce je představen koncept dědictví a jeho souvislost s regionální identitou. Šířeji je též představena problematika postmilitární krajiny a revitalizace s důrazem území vojenských újezdů. V empirické části jsou diskutovány výsledky provedeného terénního výzkumu, který se zaměřoval na zjištění současného stavu budov využívaných v období fungování výcvikového prostoru....
