Abstract

Anotace, anglicky The bachelor's thesis focuses on the cultural and social influences in the work of Libuše Jarcovjáková and their comparison with the works of American photographers Nan Goldin and Cindy Sherman. It first examines the historical and social context of the time in which these artists created, with an emphasis on the contrast between totalitarian Czechoslovakia and the United States of that era. The main focus is on Libuše Jarcovjáková, a Czech photographer whose work reflects life under the influence of the totalitarian regime as well as her exposure to Western culture. Subsequently, the thesis explores N. Goldin and C. Sherman, analyzing similarities and differences in their work, expressions of identity, and the impact of historical conditions on their art.

Anotace, česky Bakalářská práce se věnuje kulturním a společenským vlivům v tvorbě Libuše Jarcovjákové a jejich porovnání s díly amerických fotografek Nan Goldin a Cindy Sherman. Nejprve se zabývá historickým a společenským kontextem doby, ve které tyto umělkyně tvořily, s důrazem na kontrast mezi totalitním Československem a tehdejšími Spojenými státy. Hlavní pozornost je věnována Libuši Jarcovjákové, české fotografce, jejíž práce reflektuje život pod vlivem totalitního režimu i kontakt se západní kulturou. Následně se práce zaměřuje na N. Goldin a C. Sherman, přičemž zkoumá podobnosti a rozdíly v jejich tvorbě, projevu identity a vlivu historických podmínek na jejich díla.
