Emoce v Novém zákoně

Abstract

The thesis deals with the question of what view of human emotions is offered by the New Testament, more precisely by the books of the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. It looks for where emotions are discussed in these books, whether they are a theme or part of the stories, who is the bearer of emotions, how they are expressed, described, or evaluated. Emotions are not only sought by individual words that might indicate the presence of an emotion, but also in the context of the narrative. The work has been limited to the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. The main reason for this is that the Epistles and Revelation are (from the Gospels and Acts) a distinct literary species. First, an analysis of the New Testament text was made, focusing on whether it is possible to find in the text an expression of the emotions of the actors or authors, a description of their emotions, or a commentary by the actors or authors on emotions in general. A selection of the places where such statements were found were traced to commentaries by biblical scholars in the exegetical literature, and it was examined whether they provided any explanation for the emotions contained. Diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou, jaký pohled na lidské emoce nabízí Nový zákon, přesněji knihy evangelií a kniha Skutky apoštolů. Hledá, kde se v těchto knihách o emocích mluví, zda jsou tématem nebo součástí příběhů, kdo je jejich nositelem, jakým způsobem jsou vyjadřovány, popisovány, případně hodnoceny. Emoce nejsou vyhledávány jen podle jednotlivých slov, která by mohla výskyt emoce naznačovat, ale i v kontextu vyprávění. Práce byla omezena na evangelia a Skutky apoštolů. Hlavním důvodem je to, že listy a Zjevení jsou (od evangelií a Skutků) odlišným literárním druhem. Nejdříve byla provedena analýza novozákonního textu se zaměřením na to, zda je možné v textu nalézt vyjádření emocí aktérů nebo autorů, popis jejich emocí, nebo komentář aktérů nebo autorů k emocím obecně. K výběru z míst, kde byly taková vyjádření nalezena, byly dohledány komentáře biblistů v exegetické literatuře, a bylo zkoumáno, zda obsažené emoce nějak vysvětlují. V druhém kroku se nalezená slova ověřovala v souvislostech okolního textu. Zjišťovalo se, nakolik zkoumané slovo v daném místě opravdu přináší hledanou informaci a výsledky prvního kroku se tím upřesňovaly. V kontextu jednotlivých příběhů je možné nacházet celou škálu emocí, které nejsou nijak patrné z použitých slov či výrazových prostředků, nebo emoce jiné než ty...
