Sgrafitová výzdoba Velké míčovny na Pražském hradě.

Abstract

The initial chapters of the diploma thesis Sgraffito decoration of the Great Ball Game Hall at the Prague Castle are dedicated to the Renaissance era, ascension of the Habsburgs to the Czech throne, sgraffito technique, summary of the construction and historical development. The main part of the diploma thesis deals with the sgraffito decoration of the Great Ball Game Hall's northen front, its description, iconografic analysis of the motives - Elements, Virtues and Seven FreeArts and its comparison of current state with the graphic sheets of the Flemish master Frans Floris. Each of the the ten fields are given their own subchapter. In the conclusive part of the thesis there is a a selection of works, created at or around time of the Great Ball Game Hall sgraffito decoration. The diploma thesis follows up the bachelor thesis The Architecture of the Great Ball Game Hall at the Prague Castle, accepted in 2014.

Úvodní kapitoly diplomové práce Sgrafitová výzdoba Velké míčovny na Pražském hradě jsou věnované době renesance, nástupu Habsburků na český trůn, sgrafitové technice a shrnutí stavebně-historického vývoje. Hlavní část diplomové práce se zabývá sgrafitovou výzdobou severního průčelí Velké míčovny, jejím popisem, ikonografickým rozborem motivů - živlů, ctností a sedmi svobodných umění a porovnáním s grafickými listy vlámského mistra Franse Florise. Každému z deseti polí je věnována jedna podkapitola. Diplomová práce navazuje na bakalářskou práci Architektura Velké míčovny na Pražském hradě obhájenou v roce 2014.
