Abstract

This bachelor thesis provides a translation of selected parts of the e-book We Need New Stories: Challenging the Toxic Myths Behind Our Age of Discontent (2019) by Nesrine Malik from English into Czech. The subsequent part of the thesis contains translation analysis of the original, description of the chosen translation method, the main translation problems with their solutions, and lastly translation shifts that arose as a result of the translation process.

Tato bakalářská práce zprostředkovává překlad vybraných úseků elektronické knihy We Need New Stories: Challenging the Toxic Myths Behind Our Age of Discontent (2019) od Nesrine Malikové z angličtiny do češtiny. V druhé části se zaměřuji na překladatelskou analýzu výchozího textu, popis zvolené metody překladu, hlavní překladatelské problémy a jejich řešení a nakonec posuny, k nimž vlivem překladu došlo.
