Analýza vztahu Marie Terezie s jejími dcerami

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of the relationship between Maria Theresa and her daughters. The research is based primarily on foreign scholarly literature and published sources such as correspondence and diaries. It examines not only how the empress defined her parental relationship with her children, but also what expectations she placed on the upbringing of the young archduchesses, how she influenced them, and to what extent her expectations were fulfilled. The thesis also considers the perspective of the daughters themselves - how the young women perceived their mother's actions and what kind of bond they shared with her. The result is a comprehensive view of the contemporary reality within the Habsburg family, not only from the emotional standpoint of the mother-daughter relationship, but also from the perspective of independent observers. The work also clarifies Maria Theresa's concept of education, which did not always align with contemporary ideals, nor with the behavior and life paths of her daughters - whose divergent fates often failed to meet either their mother's or society's expectations. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměří na analýzu vztahu Marie Terezie s jejími dcerami. Výzkum bude prováděn především za pomoci zahraniční odborné literatury a vydaných pramenů jako jsou korespondence, ale i deníky. Podívá se nejen na vymezení rodičovského vztahu matky k jejím potomkům, ale také na to, jaké nároky měla rakouská panovnice na výchovu mladých arcivévodkyň, jak je ovlivňovala a zároveň zda její očekávání byla naplněna. Nelze opomenut ani pohled druhé strany, tedy jak mladé dívky vnímaly kroky své matky a jaké k ní měly pouto. Výsledkem je komplexní pohled na tehdejší realitu v habsburské rodině, a to nejen z citového hlediska matky a dcer, ale také nezávislých pozorovatelů. Vyjasňuje se také představa panovnice o výchově, která ne vždy korespondovala s dobovými ideály a chování dcer, jejichž rozdílné osudy nekorespondovaly s matčinými, ani společenskými představami a očekáváními.
