| dc.description.abstract | This bachelor's thesis examines the phenomenon of the paradox of suspense in cinematic storytelling-namely, why viewers experience suspense during repeated viewings even when they are already familiar with the plot and its resolution. It compares the realist theories of Robert Yanal and Aaron Smuts with the eliminativist approach of Chrysti Mag Uidhir. Through the analysis of selected film case studies, the thesis seeks to determine which of these theoretical frameworks offers a more convincing explanation of the paradox. | dc.description.abstract | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou paradoxu napětí ve filmovém vyprávění, tedy proč diváci cítí napětí při opakovaném zhlédnutí, i když znají děj a jeho rozuzlení. Porovnává realistické teorie Roberta Yanala a Aarona Smutse s eliminativistickým přístupem Chrystiho Mag Uidhira. Prostřednictvím analýzy případových studií vybraných filmů se práce snaží zjistit, který z těchto teoretických přístupů lépe vysvětluje uvedený paradox.
