Hledání se v otiscích a fragmentech: politika obrazů vlastního těla

Abstract

In a world of oppression, pain and uncertainty, the image can be understood as a space for creating alternative forms of relating to oneself, but also to the world around us. This bachelor thesis maps various ways in which the self-image, understood as an extended alternative to the traditional self-portrait, can function as a tool for subversion, care and (re)imagination. The text understands images of the self as an intimate medium of introspection as well as an intersection of complex relational configurations. The format of self-capture thus oscillates between intimate and collective testimony. The text states that self-images are a political gesture, a manifesto and an imprint of social practice subsumed at the most intimate level. In doing so, they allow us to make visible and challenge norms rooted in everyday reality. Through the optics of queer theory, the text focuses on unmasking the boundary between self-control and the external disciplining of the subject. It traces the strategies of capturing one's own corporeality, analyses the construction of identity, the process of self-awareness and looks for the possibilities of subversion of the dominant order. Ve světě útlaku, bolesti a nejistoty může obraz sloužit jako prostor pro vytváření alternativních forem vztahování se k sobě, ale také k okolnímu světu. Tato bakalářská práce mapuje způsoby, jimiž může obraz sebe-zachycení, pojímaný jako rozšíření tradičního autoportrétu, fungovat jako nástroj subverze, péče a (re)imaginace. Práce chápe obrazy vlastního Já jako niterné médium introspekce, stejně jako průsečík komplexních vztahových konfigurací. Formát sebe- zachycení tak osciluje na pomezí intimní a kolektivní výpovědi. Text tedy předkládá tvrzení, že sebe-obrazy jsou politickým gestem, manifestem a otiskem společenské praxe podchycené na té nejbližší úrovni. Je tak možné zviditelnit a zpochybnit normy zakořeněné ve všední realitě. Optikou queer teorií se práce zaměřuje na demaskování hranice mezi vlastní kontrolou a vnější disciplinací subjektu. Sleduje také strategie zachycení vlastní tělesnosti, analyzuje konstrukci identity, proces sebeuvědomování a pátrá po možnostech subverze dominantního řádu. Hledání a objevování experimentálních přístupů k tělesnosti a identitě je demonstrováno na tvorbě Anny Daučíkové, Libuše Jarcovjákové, Michala Pěchoučka a Barbory Lungové.
