Směna a dar v sociologii a sociální teorii

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis explores alternative approaches to exchange within the tradition of French social thought, specifically drawing on the works of Marcel Mauss and Georges Bataille. Firstly, the thesis examines Mauss's studies of sacrifice and the gift within the framework of Durkheim's sociology of religion. It primarily focuses on Mauss's alternative to the commodity-based understanding of objects of exchange and its broader sociological implications. Furthermore, this work traces the contributions of Georges Bataille, aiming to present his unique theoretical insights in relation to both Mauss's findings and Durkheimian sociology. Particular emphasis is placed on interpreting Bataille's theoretical motifs through the lens of the sacred-profane distinction. Finally, the thesis investigates how Bataille integrated and radicalized his interpretations of sacrifice and the gift into his theory of general economy, envisioning an alternative organizing principle for society. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na alternativní pojetí směny ve francouzské tradici sociálních myslitelů Marcela Mausse a Georgese Bataille. Nejdříve pojednává o studii oběti a daru Mausse v kontextu durkheimovské náboženské sociologie. Zde klade důraz na to, jak Mauss předkládá alternativu ke komoditnímu pojetí směny objektů a jaké sociologické důsledky z toho vyplývají. Následně práce sleduje dílo Georgese Bataille a snaží se ukázat jeho originální myšlení v návaznosti na Maussovy teoretické poznatky a durkheimovskou sociologii. Důraz je kladen na interpretaci Batailleových teoretických motivů z hlediska rozdělení profánní a sakrální sféry. Nakonec tato práce sleduje, jak Bataille svou interpretaci daru a oběti integroval a radikalizoval do své vize obecné ekonomiky jakožto alternativního společenského řádu.
