Motivace seniorů ke studiu cizích jazyků

Abstract

Abstrakct The charasteristics of the life of the elderly population imply their specific motivation for education. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the motivation of the elderly to learn foreign languages. The introductory part of the text defines ageing and old age. Then, attention is paid to the motivation of seniors to learn. The theses then focuses on the specifics of foreign language learning in the third age. Finally, the theoretical findings focus on the motivation of seniors to learn foreign languages. The empirical investigation aims to identify the motivation of a selected group od seniors learning English. The investigation is carried out using the method of semi-structured interviews. The interviews are conducted with ten seniors attending English language communication courses at the non-profit organisation Život 90. Charakteristiky života starší skupiny obyvatel implikují jejich specifickou motivaci ke vzdělávání. Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat motivaci seniorů ke studiu cizích jazyků. Úvodní část textu vymezuje stárnutí a stáří. Poté je pozornost věnována motivaci seniorů ke vzdělávání. Práce se následně soustředí na specifika učení se cizím jazykům ve třetím věku. V neposlední řadě se teoretické poznatky zaměřují na motivaci seniorů ke studiu cizích jazyků. Empirické šetření si klade za cíl identifikovat motivaci vybrané skupiny seniorů studujících anglický jazyk. Šetření je realizováno metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Rozhovory jsou vedeny s deseti seniory navštěvujícími kurzy komunikace v anglickém jazyce v neziskové organizaci Život 90.
