Skupina "Ctibor Novák a spol.": soudní proces a následné osudy odsouzených.

Abstract

(in English) This bachelor's thesis deals with the court trial "Ctibor Novák et al." and the individuals who were convicted in it. The then-communist regime used this show trial as a form of retribution against the resistance group led by the Mašín brothers by sentencing a total of eighteen of their close associates. The Mašín brothers opposed the communists through their resistance activities and later fled to the Western bloc with three of their friends. Two of these friends were captured during the escape and sentenced within the framework of the "Ctibor Novák et al." trial. Harsh penalties were handed down in this court proceeding. Some of those convicted were executed, while most spent many years in prison and were eventually released. This thesis examines both the court proceedings and the course of imprisonment, as well as their lives after serving their sentences. The goal of the thesis is to document the life stories of those convicted after the verdict, compare them, and critically evaluate them in the context of the era. The thesis also aims to shed light on how the actions of the Mašín brothers' resistance group affected their close ones for the rest of their lives and to provide insight into how the undemocratic regime of the time treated these individuals.

(česky) Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá soudním procesem "Ctibor Novák a spol." a osobami něm odsouzenými. Tehdejší komunistický režim se tímto monstrprocesem pomstil odbojové skupině bratří Mašínů tím, že odsoudil celkem osmnáct jejich blízkých. Bratři Mašínové se komunistům postavili svou odbojovou činností a následně se třemi svými přáteli prchli do Západního bloku, přičemž dva z jejich kamarádů byli na útěku zatčeni a odsouzeni v rámci procesu "Ctibor Novák a spol". V tomto soudním líčení padaly tvrdé tresty. Někteří odsouzení byli popraveni, většina však strávila dlouhá léta ve vězení a časem byla propuštěna. V práci je rozebíráno jak samotné soudní řízení, tak průběh věznění a následný život po příchodu z výkonu trestu. Tato práce má jako svůj cíl provést zdokumentování životních příběhů souzených po vynesení rozsudku, jejich porovnání a následné kritické zhodnocení v kontextu doby. Práce má též osvětlit, jak činy odbojové skupiny bratři Mašínů poznamenaly jejich blízké na celý zbytek života, a přinést pohled na to, jak se k těmto lidem zachoval tehdejší nedemokratický režim.
