Stavovské národu! Inscenace historické události

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis examines the production Stavovské národu! (The Estates Theatre to the Nation!), directed by Petra Tejnorová with dramaturgy by Nina Jacques, which premiered in 2022 as part of a collaboration between the National Theatre and the Prague German Language Theatre Festival. Staged at the very site of the historical event, the production reflects on the 1920 occupation of the Estates Theatre and situates it within the context of Czech-German relations, a site of memory, and the ideological legacy of the National Theatre. The thesis analyses a staging approach that challenges the prevailing conventions of the National Theatre Drama Company through site-specific use of space, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the incorporation of documentary material as a primary source of inspiration. The research is based on an analysis of the production's form and thematic layers, drawing on the production's unpublished script, press releases, and secondary literature. The outcome is a synthesis of performance analysis and socio-historical context, demonstrating how contemporary theatre can reinterpret and critically reflect on historical events associated with the cultural institutions in which it is presented.

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na inscenaci Stavovské národu! režisérky Petry Tejnorové a dramaturgyně Niny Jacques, uvedenou v roce 2022 v rámci spolupráce Národního divadla a Pražského divadelního festivalu německého jazyka. Inscenace přímo v místě historické události reflektuje zábor Stavovského divadla z roku 1920 a tematizuje jej v kontextu česko-německých vztahů, paměti místa a ideového odkazu Národního divadla. Práce analyzuje inscenační přístup, který narušuje převažující konvence Činohry Národního divadla prostřednictvím site specific práce s prostorem, interdisciplinární spolupráce a využití dokumentárního materiálu jako hlavního inspiračního zdroje. Výzkum vychází zejména z analýzy scénického tvaru a tematických vrstev, přičemž se opírá o interní scénář inscenace, tiskové zprávy a sekundární literaturu. Výsledkem je propojení analýzy inscenace s historicko-společenským kontextem, jež ukazuje, jak současné divadlo může reinterpretovat a kriticky reflektovat historické události spojené s kulturními institucemi, v nichž je uváděno.
