Abstract

This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first on is a translation of the essay The Leaning Tower by Virginia Woolf. The second part is a commentary, which is made up of a translation analysis of extratextual and intertextual factors based on Christine Nord's model and description of translation shifts and problems, which had occurred during the translation process.

Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí. První z nich je překlad eseje The Leaning Tower od Virginie Woolfové. Druhou částí je komentář, který sestává z překladatelské analýzy vnětextových a vnitrotextových faktorů podle modelu Christine Nordové a popisu překladatelských posunů a problémů, které během překladu nastaly.
