Palestína v propagande al-Qá'idy

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis explores the use of Palestine in the propaganda of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda. Drawing on secondary literature and the author's own qualitative analysis of primary sources, it examines the role that Palestine has played in al-Qaeda's ideological and strategic framework from its inception up to Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent war in Gaza. The thesis analyzes the development of relevant narratives, their functions, and the dilemmas associated with their use. Its aim is to connect existing knowledge about al-Qaeda's earlier propaganda use of Palestine with the narratives that emerged after October 7, 2023, and to identify any innovative elements in this propaganda.

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá využívaním Palestíny v propagande teroristickej organizácie al- Qáʿida. Na základe sekundárnej literatúry a vlastnej kvalitatívnej analýzy primárnych prameňov skúma miesto, ktoré Palestína zaujímala v ideologickom a strategickom rámci al- Qáʿidy od jej vzniku až po útok Hamasu na Izrael 7. októbra 2023 a následnú vojnu v Gaze. Práca analyzuje vývoj naratívov, ich funkciu a dilemy spojené s ich využívaním. Cieľom je prepojiť existujúce poznatky o doterajšom propagandistickom využití Palestíny s naratívmi, ktoré sa objavili po 7. októbri 2023, a identifikovať prípadné inovatívne prvky v tejto propagande.
