Porovnání staršího a novějšího překladu románu "My" Jevgenije Zamjatina

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the comparison of two translations of the novel "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin, specifically with the comparison of the realities, the author's style and the determination of the degree of their similarity or difference in relation to the original work. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the basic concepts related to the topic: the reason for the existence of multiple translations, the question of the translatability of the text, equivalence, adequacy of translation, the same or unequal effect of the original and the translation, factors influencing the translation activity, the analysis of translation strategies and procedures. The practical part includes a detailed analysis of the text focused on the linguistic (lexicon, grammar), stylistic (style, use of figurative means) and cultural (references to cultural specifics, realities, adaptation for the target culture) levels. Bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním dvou překladů románu "My" Jevgenije Zamjatina, konkrétně porovnáním reálií, stylu autora a zjištění míry jejich podobnosti nebo odlišnosti ve vztahu k originálnímu dílu. Teoretická část práce se věnuje základním pojmům, které se váží k tématu: důvodu existence více překladů, otázce přeložitelnosti textu, ekvivalenci, adekvátnosti překladu, stejnému či nestejnému účinku originálu a překladu, faktorům ovlivňujícím překladatelskou činnost, analýze překladatelských strategií a postupů. V praktické části je provedena podrobná analýza textu zaměřená na rovinu jazykovou (lexikum, gramatika), stylistickou (styl, použití obrazných prostředků) a kulturní (odkazy na kulturní specifika, reálie, adaptace pro cílovou kulturu).
