Julia Kristeva a teorie intertextuality

Abstract

This thesis examines the reconfigurations of the theory of intertextuality throughout the work of Julia Kristeva. Divided into three chapters, it discusses three key periods of her oeuvre. The first chapter focuses on the 1960s, analyzing Kristeva's theoretical intervention in the field of semiotics, aiming to characterize the theory of intertextuality as both a result and an agent of a mode of change conceptualizable as transformation. It explores how Kristeva engages with psychoanalytic theory, which later becomes central to her work in the 1970s. The second chapter analyzes this period of her work, emphasizing the intertextual function as a mechanism of working-through, and interprets Kristeva's attempt to replace the term "intertextuality" with "transposition". The third chapter traces Kristeva's appropriation of phenomenological thematizations of the body and the flesh in the 1990s, highlighting her interest in the Proustian metaphor of transubstantiation, and characterizes the modification that the theory of intertextuality undergoes in this context. These three stages are understood as distinct perspectives on a single, yet multifaceted, theory of intertextuality.

Práce sleduje proměny pojetí intertextuality napříč teoretickým dílem Julie Kristevy. Ve třech kapitolách pojednává tři období její tvorby: prvně se věnujeme období 60. let a sledujeme autorčinu teoretickou intervenci do oblasti sémiotiky, s cílem charakterizovat teorii intertextuality jako výsledek a zároveň činitel způsobu změny, který je konceptualizovatelný jako transformace. Všímáme si způsobu, jakým Kristeva pracuje s psychoanalytickou teorií, která se následně stává ústřední v jejím díle 70. let. Při jeho analýzách v druhé kapitole zdůrazňujeme intertextuální funkci jako mechanismus propracovávání a interpretujeme autorčinu snahu o nahrazení termínu intertextualita termínem transpozice. Ve třetí kapitole sledujeme Kristevinu apropriaci fenomenologických tematizací těla a tělesnosti v 90. letech, zdůrazňujeme zájem o proustovskou metaforu transsubstanciace a charakterizujeme, jakou proměnou teorie intertextuality v souvislosti s tím prochází. Tyto tři podoby přitom chápeme jako různá hlediska jedné komplexní teorie intertextuality.
