Reflexe dialogů marxistů a křesťanů v časopise Internationale Dialog-Zeitschrift

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis examines the content, language, and trajectory of the dialogue between Christians and Marxists in the journal Internationale Dialog-Zeitschrift from 1968 to 1974. The aim of the study is to analyze the ideas, concepts, and argumentative strategies applied within this specific ideological space, their relation to the socio-political context of the time, and the possibilities and limitations exhibited by this dialogue. The thesis is based on the premise that Internationale Dialog-Zeitschrift represented a unique attempt at an exchange of views between worldviews that, at the time-especially in Central and Eastern Europe-stood in antagonistic positions. The analyzed corpus of articles shows that the dialogue conducted in the journal was not conceived as an apologetic defense of predetermined positions, but rather as a search for a common language around questions of truth, freedom, meaning, and justice. Methodologically, the thesis employs large language models (LLMs) to analyze an extensive corpus of texts, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Bakalářská práce se zabývá obsahem, jazykem a směřováním dialogu mezi křesťany a marxisty v časopise Internationale Dialog-Zeitschrift v letech 1968-1974. Cílem práce je analyzovat, jaké myšlenky, pojmy a argumentační strategie byly v tomto specifickém ideovém prostoru uplatňovány, jaký byl jejich vztah ke společenskému a politickému kontextu doby, a jaké možnosti i limity tento dialog vykazoval. Práce staví na tezi, že Internationale Dialog-Zeitschrift představoval výjimečný pokus o názorovou výměnu mezi světovými názory, které se v té době, zejména ve střední a východní Evropě nacházely v antagonistickém postavení. Analyzovaný korpus článků ukazuje, že dialog vedený v časopise nebyl chápán jako apologetická obrana předem daných pozic, ale jako hledání společného jazyka nad otázkami pravdy, svobody, smyslu a spravedlnosti. Metodologicky využívá práce rozsáhlé jazykové modely (LLM) pro analýzu rozsáhlého korpusu textů a kombinuje přitom kvantitativní a kvalitativní přístup. Mikroanalýza na úrovni reprezentativních článků, byla následována makroanalýzu a závěrečnou syntézou celého souboru. Výsledky ukazují, že v textech dochází k významnému prolínání teologických a filosofických argumentů, k přehodnocení některých dogmatických pozic a k vytváření prostorů pro společnou emancipaci.
