Specifika zkušeností transgender studentů s prostředím SŠ

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the experiences of transgender students in secondary schools in Czechia. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical section includes chapters that describe topics related to transgender identity. These topics primarily focus on currently used terminology, the phenomenon of transphobia, mental health of individuals identifying as transgender and etiology. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes the topic of transgender individuals in the context of the current Czech educational system. The practical part uses qualitative research to examine the experiences of transgender students who have attended high schools in Czechia. It addresses the issues these students face within their school environment, how these issues influence their subjective experience of schooling and how this experience can be improved from the perspective of the school as an institution.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zkušenostmi transgender studujících na středních školách v ČR. Práce obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou zahrnuty kapitoly, které obsahují témata týkající se transgender identity. Primárně se tato témata soustřeďují na aktuálně užívanou terminologii, fenomén transfobie, duševní zdraví osob s transgender identitami a aktuální poznatky z etiologie. V teoretické části je dále obsaženo téma osob s transgender identitou v kontextu aktuálního českého školství. Praktická část sleduje s pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu zkušenosti transgender studujících, kteří absolvovali střední školy v ČR. Zabývá se otázkou, jaká témata tito studující řeší v rámci své školy, jaký mají tato témata vliv na jejich subjektivní pocit ze školní docházky a jak lze tento pocit z pohledu školy jako instituce zlepšovat.
